All parking spaces in the center are free of charge, and you can park in any available spot without worry. However, keep in mind that parking spaces for shops and businesses are primarily reserved for their customers.

We have many things to do — including 4 museums, 1 art center, 100 kilometers of paddling routes, 50 kilometers of marked trails, 1 national park, 260 kilometers of road bike routes, a padel court, 3 frisbee golf courses, 2 golf courses, a sports hall, 8 outdoor playgrounds, and loads of small businesses, cottages, and lovely people.
Even though seeing a Saimaa ringed seal here would be amazing, unfortunately, Mäntyharju is not part of the Saimaa region. However, you can go on seal-watching trips in places like Puumala. There, we highly recommend Ecoboat cruises.

The high ridges and cliffs formed during the Ice Age, known as the Salpausselkä, can often affect weather conditions and air currents quickly and unexpectedly. The Salpausselkä is highest in the Lahti region, and therefore it influences the conditions in Mäntyharju.
